OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. HOW TO ENTER: Beginning July 1, 2009 through July 31, 2009 (“Promotion Period”), log on to http://inquiry.princetonreview.com/mcat/scholarship/ click on the icon for the Princeton Review/Student Doctor Network Scholarship and follow the on-screen entry instructions. Your entry must include three reasons with a maximum of 255 characters on the topic, “Why do you want to go to medical school.” Essays will not be judged, but entries without an essay will be disqualified. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry method or more than one entry will void all entries and result in disqualification.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the 50 United States and D.C. 18 years of age and older as of July 1, 2009 and who have either graduated from or are currently enrolled in a four-year college. Employees of The Princeton Review, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies (collectively “Promotion Parties”), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Void in the Province of Quebec and where prohibited.
3. RANDOM DRAWING: Winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about August 22, 2009 from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Winner will be notified by e-mail/mail and/or telephone, at Sponsor’s option, and will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and a Publicity Release within seven (7) days of attempted delivery or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. In the event a potential winner is a resident of Canada, entrant will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance or mechanical or electronic aid in order to claim prize.
4. PRIZE[S]: Two (2) Grand Prizes: an MCAT Hyperlearning course and $250 worth of Random House books of medical school admissions and MCAT preparation. Approximate Retail Value: $2,149.00. Total prize value: $4,298.00. Limit one prize per family/household. In the event winner entrolled in an MCAT course during the Promotion Period, winner will receive reimbursement of the course as an alternative prize, not to exceed $1,899 or the cost of the course, whichever is smaller. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded.
5. GENERAL RULES: All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. By entering sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold Promotion Parties, their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use or redemption of prize. Acceptance also constitutes permission to the Promotion Parties to use winner’s name, likeness, and biographical information for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law. Promotion Parties are not responsible for lost or late mail, or for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. If there is any suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of the promotion, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the promotion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the sweepstakes in a manner deemed reasonable by Sponsor, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning online entrant, entries made by internet will be declared made by the name on the online entry form. All federal and state laws apply.
