I instructed many sections of English 1101 and 1102 over the course of six years, during which time I also worked as a writing tutor, with a particular focus on standardized test preparation and basic writing skills.

I Love Tutoring Because

...it fosters first-hand, tangible improvements in writing on a one-to-one basis. Teaching has similar positive aspects, but because of sheer numbers, and the general issue of assessment, it can be harder to follow an individual's development. Tutoring is much more immediate, in my experience.
