Career Experience
I became a tutor in college, in my sophomore fall of 2013. As a graduate student, I had many students both as a tutor and as the instructor of record for classes ranging from high school algebra to graduate level complex analysis. Now I work in the mathematics department at a small liberal arts college, where I continue to see students every day.
I Love Tutoring Because
I've always said that a good tutor puts themselves out of the job in about a semester. There's some magic in seeing the lightbulb moment go off for them, and being a tutor is ultimately about chasing that. It's bittersweet to have students move on, but I always love keeping in touch and hearing how things are going!
