Career Experience
I am in my sixth year of teaching English 10 across multiple levels. I currently teach English 10 in North Carolina. It is a state-tested, standards-based course with tracked sections (special education, academic, and honors). Previously, I taught English 10: AP Seminar, which is a project-based research course offered by the College Board. In addition to teaching, I serve as the chess club advisor at my school.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love tutoring because it empowers students to take charge of their own learning, using my knowledge and expertise as a resource. This self-directed approach to acquiring new knowledge is essential for fostering lifelong learners.
