Career Experience
My career began in the independent film industry. Over the course of six years, my initial positions were at small distribution companies, where I honed my skills in crafting compelling copy for websites and home entertainment products. During my time at distribution companies, I attended the Sundance Film Festival and collaborated with the acquisition team to cover and potentially purchase emerging titles. I later transitioned into the realm of film publicity, immersing myself in a vibrant community of directors and journalists, all of whom possessed a shared passion for cinema. Through this role, I developed a love for the meaningful experience of igniting enthusiasm in others for new films. Particularly gratifying was sparking interest in journalists to reconsider watching a title they had initially been hesitant to explore. Inspired by this experience, I decided to shift my focus to education. I hope to share my enthusiasm for film and inspire others in the same way that film has inspired me.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to pass along the tools I received through my own education. I want to help students develop their ability to think for themselves in order to gain a sense of autonomy and confidence at school. As a tutor, I use strength based methods with sensitivity and competency.
