Career Experience

I have about nine years' experience teaching science to students ranging from 4th grade all the way to college seniors. Most recently I worked as a science instructor at astrocamp introducing 5th-8th graders to high school and college-level physics and engineering concepts.

I Love Tutoring Because

not only have I always loved helping others with their schoolwork, even when I was a student myself, but tutoring also allows me to share my love and enthusiasm for math and science. I also just love the opportunity to work out math and physics problems!

I loved Jacob's way of explaining and letting me try to come to conclusions for myself. When I expressed how I didn't have knowledge in a some ways, and told him that I was trying to fill gaps for a Math Placement Exam, he immediately gave me lists of formulas that I was having trouble with today and explained them and the basic principles behind them. His math was clear and easy to follow and he regularly checked in with me and allowed me to answer to check my understanding.

The tutor was very kind and explained in depth how to solve the problems. I was able to get through my assignment because of all the help the tutor gave! I've been very confused with trigonometry because I just started and it felt like they're kinda just throwing stuff at me but now I feel like I understand it way more!
