Career Experience

I have about a year of experience tutoring for my local university. Our writing center takes on a wide variety of students of different classes and experience, so I've seen it all! I mostly work on small idea focuses, such as grammar, spelling, sentence clarity, and formatting, but often I help people with bigger idea focuses like paragraph structure, essay structure, voice, and tone. Also, citations in APA and MLA are my specialty.

I Love Tutoring Because

I'm able to help people in a meaningful and impactful way without being a health student! I'm happy to increase others' understanding the best I can and help myself in the process. My favorite part about tutoring is that students are seeking help and not forced to see me, which greatly drives motivation that is likely lost in the classroom.
