Being seen as a person when you're up at almost 1am doing statistics homework when you are a single mom to two little boys and have a full time job to report to in the morning, it was nice for someone to care about me as a person and not just whether or not I now feel comfortable drawing a boxplot. Audio finally worked this time. I realized audio only works when I use my laptop at home (secure wifi connection) rather than at school (not secure wifi connection). This is the only thing I change about my setup (same laptop, same earbuds). I only change the internet connection, and on my home (secure) internet connection, audio seems to work. Strange.
