Career Experience
Prior to transferring to a four year university in the fall of 2020, I spent a gap year volunteering as an English and math teacher in India and Vietnam, as well as studying abroad- Spanish Language and Literature curriculum- in Spain. Throughout my academic career, I've taught activism theater in middle schools and tutored in English and math at a local elementary school. I also have experience writing and peer editing short stories, plays, and policy memos. Therefore, I am familiar with a variety of writing structures at an advanced level. Overall, my education has amalgamated experiences, both inside and out of the classroom, leading me to find teachers and seek learning from school, family, and community members alike.
I Love Tutoring Because
I remember my mentors and tutors who were so patient and helpful with me, especially when I would get stuck on my writing, and I want to pay it forward. Moreover, I enjoy talking through content with students and being able to be a part of their thinking process.
